


After watching Food Inc. on Hulu, my anthropology group and I walked two blocks from my apartment to peek through the fenced urban farm. Fortunately, one of the organizers was about to water the garden and invited us to take a look. The 1/3 acre project started January this year on a site that was a burnt down Lutheran Church. We ended up watering "strawberry hill" and got fresh sweet strawberries in return. Work days are Wednesday and Saturdays from 10am-2 pm. You can get more info here,
