San Francisco Farms: Alemany Farm

Also known as SLUG Farm, the Alemany Farm started in 1994 by the San Francisco League of Urban Gardeners. The farm is next to the 101 freeway by Saint Mary's Park in the city and is about 4 acres in size. Besides seeing bee colonies on the side of the hill and I traversed the slope, the farm grows vegetables such as tomatoes, lettuce, green beans, onions, garlic, broccoli, chard, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, collards, chard, kale, strawberries, spinach, carrots, beets, basil, peppers, apples, and much more.
